Swim Team

The Jasper Valley Swim Team is a competitive swim team for children 19 years and younger. The team is a member of the Granite State Swimming Association (GSSA). The team has proven to be fun for members and provide a rich and fulfilling experience for all. Since 2000, the team has grown to over 120 members of all ages.

The purpose of the team is to provide summer recreation for young members who enjoy competitive swimming and want to improve endurance and strokes while competing in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Swimmers will have the opportunity to compete individually and as part of relay teams within their age group, as well as being a part of the entire team.

Swim team members:

  • Work on stroke technique and refinement through drills, as well as overall endurance.
  • Learn and improve starts, turns, and finishes 
  • Be encouraged and inspired to practice good sportsmanship
  • Learn how to reach their individual swim goals


HEAD SWIM TEAM COACHES 2022: 


Cameron Watelet: 
Cam is in his third summer at Jasper Valley, and thrilled to be coaching.  He is will be entering his second year at the University of Maine where he is one of the top swimmers in the America East Conference, specializing in butterfly and sprint freestyle.  A competitive swimmer for over ten years, Cam has qualified for some of the highest competitive meets in USA Swimming and is also a New England Swimming record holder, under Executive Swim Club.  He is very passionate about the sport and has served on multiple athlete boards and committees to better the sport. 


Katelyn Rakiey: 
Katelyn is new to Jasper this year and very excited to be at the club. She is currently a Junior at Robert Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY, majoring in childhood and special education.  She is an important part of the swim team where she competes in mostly freestyle and backstroke.  She has been swimming competitively for over ten years, and also teaching swimming lessons for the past four years.  While competing on ESC throughout high school, Katelyn demonstrated her love of swim and children by volunteering coach the teams youngest swimmers.

GSSA CHAMPIONS

The team has won the GSSA Division Two Championship in 1994, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2014!  They have also won the Milford Rotary swim meet in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
